Pecha Kucha (chit chat) is a presentation methodology in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (approx. 6' 40" in total)
I have used it in class as 10 slides and instead of me presenting, the students talk in pairs. Each slide shows a photo that is displayed for 20 seconds and as it is displayed the students talk about it (or one talks and one listens.) They keep talking as the slides change.
When finished I get them to recap the photos from memory with their partners writing them down in the correct order.
Afterwards we go through the photos (What photo was next? being questioned), with selected students describing them and saying what they talked about the first time around and finding links (as tenuous as you like) between one slide and the next.
